Method of use and precautions
The ‘Pure ware’ you have purchased is in the best condition and has never been used since being taken out from the kiln.
Before first use, simply wash it with soap.
1. How to test its ability to purify water
Use any drinking water desired.
Prepare two bottles of the same kind of drinking water, and put the water from one of the bottles in the ‘Pure ware’.
The next day, drink the water from the water bottle and the water from ‘Pure ware’, and compare the difference in the softness and tastiness of water.
Leave the water in the ‘Pure ware’ for two to seven days before drinking and comparing in order to feel a starker contrast.
2. To use as dinner ware
Soap can be used
‘Pure ware’ doesn’t absorb the soap in the short period of time it’s being washed. However, if soap being absorbed is a concern, leave the ‘Pure ware’ soaked in water after washing it to let the soap seep out completely.
‘Pure ware’ is safe to use in microwave, oven and dishwasher. (It is recommended to wash ‘Pure ware’ in hot water after using it in oven). It’s not advisable to use the same cup to hold different kinds of liquids (water, tea, medicinal drinks, coffee, etc.)
3. Washing to maintain ‘Pure ware’ in its best condition
Boil ‘Pure ware’ in water (for over 10 minutes), every 6 months of use.
Prepare a pot big enough to completely submerge ‘Pure ware’. When it is boiled in hot water, bubbles are formed from breathing pores invisible to the eye. The impurities that are built up through use and clog up the ‘Pure ware’ dissolve into the water.
When cleaned well regularly, Pure ware can maintain its functionality for dozens of years.
If it’s a big jar, put hot water in the bath tub or large bucket (for over half a day).
4. Precautions
Water held in ‘Pure ware’ can become spoilt when poured to a different container, so it’s advised that the water is drank as soon as possible.
Do not use ‘Pure ware’ for carbonated drinks or beer for longer than 5 minutes as carbonic acid is lost.
Do not put wood or cloth under ‘Pure ware’ water jars or purifying pots that hold water for a long period of time, because it can clog the breathing pores of the ware.
It is advised to use hot water to wash ‘Pure ware’ which has been used to contain food with strong flavor or scent.
